HIRSCH'S REACH FOR YOUR SLIPPERS AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE.
Hirsch's Umhlanga staff reached for their slippers this morning in an attempt to assist The Reach For A Dream Foundation in their quest to fulfil the dreams of children.
Last year Reach For A Dream raised more than R400 000 to make dreams come true for children suffering from life-threatening illnesses across KwaZulu-Natal and R1.3-million nationally, with its awareness campaign, Reach For Your Slippers.
In 2011 it was launched as a KZN initiative and has grown phenomenally. In 2012 it went national. Last year, the whole of South Africa was involved as each of the seven Reach For A Dream offices worked with schools, companies, businesses and individuals in their areas to get more people into slippers, for one day, than ever before.
This year, the organisation celebrates its 25th birthday, making dreams come true. Reach For a Dream urged residents to wear their slippers this year and help make more dreams come true for children who suffer with conditions including cancer, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, HIV/AIDS and heart conditions among many other severe illnesses.
