When I was at school, years and years ago we read a book. In this book the people use to get warts and doctors gave them ointment to put on but ones the wards was gone they had to throw it away. But the people where poor and could not afford to buy it every time. Then one day someone decided not to throw the ointment away and when he got a wart again he used it and would you believe it, it worked. The doctors where wrong when they said it would only work once. This made me think. Do we also get the medication that is the best for us? Why do we get all these dangerous illnesses and isn't there a better way? I did some research and was shocked to find out how much influence the drug companies have over us. Just think about it, we run so easily to the pharmacy to get a pill for this and that, not thinking what sit is really doing to our bodies. And before we know it we can't live without it. I read a article by Tan Ee Lyn in which she says that doctors will prescribe medication to their patients more often if it is promoted by the pharmaceutical companies even if it there's their patients more. And it is not to say that you will have the best results. I also read a article by J Rhee talking about the amount of money being paid to promote medication to doctors. So it would not be unfair to say that doctors are paid to promote certain medication . it made me think. Is my doctor thinking of me when he prescribes medication or am I just being kept healthy enough to make the pharmaceutical companies rich?There is another thing that is bothering me. The amount of people getting sick and I am not just talking about normal sick. I am talking about things like cancer, diabetes, heart attacks and so much more. And even more disturbing is the fact that our kids are getting it. But why? How is it possible that a new born baby is diagnosed with cancer? This led me to look at the food we take in and I found out that our food doesn't have the nutrients that we need and our fruits and vegetables are being harvested when it is still young. It then gets stored in cooling rooms for up to two years and then ripened by ripening gas. It is because of all of this that I am thankful that there are a company out there like Mannatech.I will be telling you about this company next time as well as the work they do.
