Hirsch Meadowdale recently hosted its monthly Ladies Networking Morning with the very influential Michelle Mills as the guest speaker for the morning.
Michelle is a solution seeker. Growing up knowing hard financial times she learnt to find creative ways to get to a desired outcome.
She is the author of the soon-to-be-released “From Fan to Fortune: How Understanding Soccer Can Improve Your Finances.” It’s a Financial Literacy book in which soccer is used as a Language to explain financial concepts – due for release at the end of this year.
Michelle’s topic for the morning was; “How writing a book can improve your business.” She explained how her book had become like her business card. “People tend to feel that you are more influential if you have written a book and therefore are more inclined to do business with you.” She said. She also explained that it is important to keep your book simple, tell your story, your struggles and what it is that led you to where you are now.
Commented Hirsch’s Letitia Haywood “Michelle was such a lovely speaker with such a great sense of humour. The audience loved her talk and she was even able to sell a few books afterwards.”
