"Shake and cook" was the theme at a recent cooking demonstration at Hirsch's Umhlanga.

Wendy McKenzie from Unilever impressed with her culinary skills using the cook-in-bag. Starting off was a creamy garlic and sweet potato bake. Mains followed with a Beef fillet and honey sauce. Wendy enjoyed cooking so much that she even did the "shake it' dance while preparing the bag to go into the oven. "There are no limits to what you can create using this cooking method, and it is important to use an oven with correct temperature control, like the Miele oven we used this evening", said Wendy while cutting open the bag releasing the rich aroma of garlic and sweet potato.
"I love cooking for my family, and have learnt so much from this class. I am so excited to create similar dishes for my family and friends" said Yashna Govender.
