HIS & HIRSCH'S LAUNCHES AT ECR HOUSE & GARDEN SHOW
In the past twelve months the Hirsch family have launched three cook books - Margaret's "Living the Vegetarian Life" Luci's "Mum's On the Run" and now Richard and his lovely wife Simone have just launched their own gorgeously illustrated HIS AND HIRSCH'S.
The cookbook draws some inspiration from Zanzibar, where the couple got engaged, and the recipes are simple and stylish, perfect for the young, professional couple that loves cooking - and eating - great food.
The launch of the cookbook, which was held at the ECR House & Garden Show , was a gastronomic affair, filled with delectable dishes prepared from the cookbook. In collaboration with Elba's Ramola Makan, well known author of five recipe books, including the world's first book on Indian Microwave cooking, the couple prepared their favourite recipes in front of excited show goers. On the menu was Italian Fillet, Prawn & Penne Pasta and Simone's Zanzibar Aubergines.
His & Hirsch's, is available from Hirsch branches around the country. The proceeds from the sale of the book will be going to Claire Ellis Brown Pre-Primary School and the Vulingqondo Literacy Centre in Durban.
