NORTHLANDS GIRLS EDUCATIONAL RETAIL VISIT TO HIRSCH'S Northwood Girls recently visited Hirsch's Umhlanga on an educational tour of the store, and to learn more about how Allan & Margaret Hirsch built one of the biggest independently owned retail stores in South Africa.
The excited group of girls started their tour with an informative talk by Hirsch's Training Manager, Jenny Syren on how Hirsch's was started.
"Hirsch's has an incredible history of overcoming obstacles, and from the very first day that Hirsch's was started back in 1979, with only R900, every day since has been about achieving great success in life. The other important aspect of success is to never stop learning new skills", said Jenny as she went through the Hirsch's timeline. To further motivate the girls, Saricsha from True Awakenings delivered a powerful message of how a positive mindset can change your world. "Your brain is like Google, if you search for a problem you will attract all negative results, and the opposite is true for a positive mindset. In order to achieve success you have to believe in yourself for great things to happen.
The girls concluded their tour of the branch with light snacks prepared in the store using some of the appliances Hirsch's sell.
