It was another fun and fantastic day at The Good Food and Wine Show on Tuesday. There was so much fun and excitement that you couldn’t help being caught up in the day. Events ranged from braai competitions, celebrity chef cook-off’s, kiddies cooking and the best of the day, a cooking demonstration by singer, PJ Powers and Presidential Chef, Hilton Little.
Hilton Little is the personal chef for all our presidents and has therefore cooked for President Nelson Mandela and all other presidents thereafter. Hilton made a Lamb en croute which he said was the first dish he had ever made for President Nelson Mandela. PJ assisted in the kitchen however was very quick to admit that she is a terrible cook so would rather just sing for us. She sang her new single, “Alive” and got the crowd up and clapping with her famous , “The World in Union”.
Once everything had been cooked, I was very honoured to be chosen with two other audience members, to go onto the stage and taste this delicious meal together with Hilton Little. Hirsch’s gained incredible exposure from this as it was broadcast on all televisions throughout the Dome, as well as infront of a very large crowd.
It was definitely a moment to remember.
