On Saturday evening, Hirsch Fourways hosted our 2013 Christmas Function. It was a fun and joyous occasion with amazing Christmas colours, sparkles, christmas crackers, gold and silver glitter and some more bling bling bling.
We had all the staff attending and let me tell you, the atmosphere was electric. We had Preston from Service and Spares taking charge of the music, with his turn tables and sound, and he kept everyone dancing until the early wee hours of the morning.
The evening kicked off with non-alcoholic welcome drinks and soon after, the award ceremony took place. We really work with incredibly talented people and therefore there was a large number of certificates which were handed out by our ‘Manager in a Million’ – Keith Govender. These certificates were handed out to those who really have made a difference in Hirsch’s and have performed exceptionally well throughout the year. We had various categories, which consisted of some of the following:
‘Top Salesman’, ‘Allrounder Achievement’, ‘Team-Player of the Year’, and a few more. We also had the “Funnies” such as ‘Best Morning Joker”, “The Busy Bee Award”, '”The Jibber Jabber” and many others which really had the staff in hysterics. This definitely set the scene for the evening, creating a festive atmostphere which everyone enjoyed.
The food was definitely a winner as we had 2x delicious Halaal Lamb spit braai’s and chicken being cooked as the guest snacked on the starters which were delicious samoosas, chicken drum sticks and various other Indian cuisine. The lamb and chicken was accompanied by various types of rice, vegetables, gravies, sauces and for dessert, yummy malva pudding and custurd (which by this time, everyone was ready to roll).
The entire evening was fun and festive and ended off with very tired, yet very content staff and spouses, who definitely showed morale, comraderie and outstanding behaviour throughout the evening, which is exactly why Fourways is the leading branch!
It was definitely an unforgettable evening and wonderful memories were made
