“On Monday morning, Elize Brassell , a teacher at Heronbridge College, got caught in the floods on her way to work. As Elize made her way from Fourways Gardens to Heronbridge College, she took the backroad but due to the rain and flooding, the entire road had been washed away and the river started flowing into the road as people tried to make their way to work.
The car cut out as the water started to seep through the doors and as the water started flowing even faster, the mud started causing the car to slide. Urgently, she contacted her husband, Norman Brassell who is a regional manager at Hirschs. Together with Sean Robers and Justin Pillay, made their way to where Elize was stranded. They managed to get her out of the car through the window and carried her to dry ground. It was not long after, that the towtruck arrived. Unfortunately there is severe damage to the car but we at Hirschs are all relieved that Elize is safe (her car is the white BMW).
Thank you to Norman, Sean and Justin”
