Hirsch’s Umhlanga recently hosted their Business Networking breakfast with with Guest speakers, Speedy Kisten from Meeting the Needs Foundation and Lisa Garrett from Lisa Garrett and Associates. The networking started off with Speedy, who discussed the initiative of “ Meeting the Needs Foundation” and what a positive impact it has on the community. Meeting the Needs Foundation is a Non profit organisation that strives to better the lives of the under privileged and how The Roc Project has taken action. This was a powerful presentation shown by Speedy and how business’s and humanity meet and strive to uplift their surrounding communities. Lisa then took the floor, asking the million dollar question “ Does your business have an economical right to exist.” This was a huge eye opener for all business owners in the room, Lisa went through budget’s and what your mark up should be per year to increase turnover as well as profit year after year. “One should be looking at their prices/products at least once a month to see if it is a fast moving item or slow moving item, this is just one way in how you can improve your business to make it economical to exist”, said Lisa. After the presentations where over business owners got the opportunity to network between each other and generate business with one another.
