The Guest speaker at the September 2014 Ladies Networking Morning at Hirsch’s Centurion was well renowned Dr. Illona E Wilken – PhD Holistic Med MD in Alternative Medicine from 528Hz. The topic for the day was “Stress Burnout and Business Failure”. Dr. Illona explained how stress can make you feel burnt out which could lead to failure in your career and personal life and how minor changes in your lifestyle and eating habits can help you to be more productive and improve not only your performance but your overall health. She explained the causes of physical and mental stress and how it affects your stress hormones. Dr. Illona outlined some interesting facts about what causes physical and mental stress how this can be improved through healthier living and eating habits. She also emphasised the importance of having at least 8 hours of sleep a night. Bedtime should be at least 2 hours before midnight and it will make a world of difference in the busy working environment. By eating healthy foods, changing your cooking methods, using grape seed oil instead of normal oil and steaming vegetables instead of the microwave, eat fresh fruit, green veggies and nuts to name a few you can relive mental stress. “Go Healthy, Go Colourful” - Dr. Illona E Wilken

The morning did not end here… it was fun time with many give away’s and lucky draw prizes which were sponsored by various attendees whilst Karma Events spoilt everyone with morning treats. The smell of freshly made coffee complimented the lovely treats and great networking took place. Many new attendees commented on the great ladies morning and said they would definitely become regular visitors to this great monthly meeting. Lovely flowers for décor was once again sponsored by Belinda Willemse from Loads of Flowers and Annique, Honey and Miglio displays added some extra shopping excitement to the morning.
