Google is the Largest Search Engine on the Planet. Here is some advice:
I've been advertising my websites on the Google pay per click advertising system for a few months.
1. To save money, select which area you want to target, ie, South Africa, Johannesburg etc.
2. Use square brackets [...] around your keyword/s.
For example:
[Apple]
[Google Chrome]
This will ensure that your ad will only show when there is an exact search for the keyword phrase you have included in the brackets.
3. Test your Ads by creating two or more ads with different sets of keywords. This is called A/B Testing. It allows you to test and refine your selection of keywords to ensure you get the most traffic for your budget.
If an ad doesn't perform, remove and replace it.
4. Use Google Analytics to track and monitor the performance of your ads. You can place code from the analytics site into each page of your website and track how many clicks arrive on your page, stats for you ads will be displayed in the Adwords Control Panel. Use Adsense to Promote products on your Pages and get revenue for clicks.
Use a special tracking link in each ad to track its conversion ratio. Make sure each ad produces a return-on-investment.
5. Include the main keyword/s you focused on in your ad headline and up to three times in the ad itself. When Google Spiderbots crawl your ad, they will pick out the keywords (which will be bolded because you listed them in your campaign) and rank your ad higher in the search engines.
When people enter the keywords you listed in Adwords, your ad is served. Searched keywords highlighted in bold certainly help to catch the user's attention. For this reason, ads with searched keywords usually perform better than ones without.
6. In order for your ad to perform, you need to promote your product or service, and entice the reader to take action.
7. Grab their attention. EVERYONE loves free stuff. Include Sales, gifts etc in your headline.
8. Use power words,or phrases eg:
tips, bargain, sale, special offer, time limited offer, freebie, you, free, enhance, discover, fact, learn, the last, free shipping, etc.
Here are some examples of phrases:
Buy Today and SAVE!
Download Free Trial Now
Sale Ends Tomorrow
Get in while it lasts
Limited offer
Buy NOW!
Call now
Hurry or miss out
Rush your order in now
Do this NOW or miss out FOREVER
Make sure the phrase is related to your business, or Google will reject it.
9. Spell out the benefits in short, precise dialect. Really highlight all the benefits and recommend your product or service.
10. Don't send a visitor directly to the buying page. Send them to a page of content. Insert useful and informative content in the landing page. Use all your keywords on the landing page. Use power words and provide them with GREAT Content. You'll get more sales than trying to send them straight to the checkout point.
11. Every Single word in the ad must be relative to your product or service. If it doesn't need to be there, don't put it in.
12. Save Costs. You will be paying per click, ensure that you target buying customers, by indicating price in your ads.
In Closing:
