Networking is one of the most crucial skills any businessperson can have, and understanding this, Hirsch’s Meadowdale offers business people in the community the opportunity to develop relationships with other entrepreneurs and potential clients, and grow their business, through their monthly held Business Networking Mornings.
Hirsch’s Meadowdale hosted their monthly Networking function recently with Pat Anderson as the guest speaker.
With over 25 years’ experience in various avenues of sales, and more than 20 years as a toastmaster, Pat Anderson is an Internationally Certified Public Speaking Coach and Presentation Skills Trainer focusing on empowering people to better themselves, improve their self-esteem, and enable them to grow and flourish over time by improving their skills in presenting to an audience.
Pat’s topic for the morning was Basic Human Needs. Pat explained that these needs not only apply to one’s personal life but in the business environment.
1. Certainty: The need for safety, security, comfort, control and consistency – the need for excitement, variety, challenges, change and novelty.
2. Significance: The need to have meaning, pride, a sense of worth and importance.
3. Connection: The need for communication with others, approval and attachment, to feel connected with others.
4. Growth: The constant need for emotional, intellectual and spiritual development.
5. Contribution: The need to give beyond ourselves, care, protect and serve others.
