Do you know what a Virtual Assistant is? Are you sure?
I can copy and paste the Wikipedia paragraph here, but I will probably lose you in 5 seconds flat.
Or I can give you the short and sweet version: A VA (Virtual Assistant) is:
a) A business owner -
b) offering various solutions -
c) than can benefit you and your business -
d) from her home-based office -
e) saving your time and money.
That wasn't too painful, was it?
So what does all that mean?
• It means that you can now have office support without having someone drinking your coffee, using your internet, your equipment, your electricity, your stationery and furniture, your office space testing your patience;
• It means that you have someone in your corner but not in your face;
• It means that you have someone doing the work while you can focus on the important work – seeing clients, meeting potential clients, going to meetings, spending time with family or playing that game of golf.
It means you save money:
• You don’t pay a VA a salary – you only pay a VA per project (no work no pay)
• You don’t pay a VA medical, pension, sick leave, holidays, coffee breaks or lunch times!
• A VA uses her own equipment, electricity and water, office space and groceries. She pays for her own repairs, upgrades, breakages and emergencies.
• Your VA is responsible for her own training and that is beneficial for you! Even more solutions that she can offer you!
It also means you save time:
• A VA works until the work is done – she doesn’t put her “pen down†at 17:00
• Overtime is nothing new to a VA – when that due date knocks at the door, a VA answers!
• While you are seeing important clients, sit in on meetings or spend time with family, your VA are hard at work with your projects!
All you have to do is phone / fax / Skype / Email the project, make sure she understands the urgency and instructions and you can continue with whatever you need to. Your VA is working away at her office and you will receive the completed project when she is done!
So – now that you know what a VA can do for you – I have a little assignment for you. Think about your work week. Think about all the work you have to do in that work week.
• What do you WANT to outsource?
• What do you NEED to outsource?
• What do you WISH to outsource?
Why DON’T you outsource it?

I need someone to make appointments for me. I have a business called Free2Call VoIP Service Provider. I'm a one-man business, and I can't get everything done that I need to do.
I need someone to phone potential customers and make appointments for me in and around Pretoria East, Pretoria, Centurion and Midrand (in that order).
Is this something you do?
I earn a service fee for every phone that the customer registers and I will pay R30 per phone to you for a successful signup.
I target small to medium businesses, so the onus is on you to source companies with 20+ phones, including landlines and cellphones.
Most companies have at least 10 phones, up to about 100 phones. Some have many branches, and these increase the number of phones dramatically.
We usually start with one or two branches as test sites and roll out from there after a month.
All users on our network can call each other for free and make greatly reduced calls to other networks, eg: Telkom, Vodacom, MTN, etc.
In addition, if you have the right phone/s, I will install the system for you so you can cut your own call costs by 67%.
This will help you make 3 times the calls for what you are paying now.
I will give you full training. If you like selling, I will train you as a sales consultant as well (optional).
Please come back to me on this.
